On the 1st of January, 2018, the European Union passed legislation known as Lot 20. This legislation is to be followed and adhered to by all manufacturers and suppliers of electric heaters.

A major highlight of the Energy Efficiency Directives (EED) legislation is that these electric heaters must meet up with a specified minimum efficiency standard. The primary objective of this act is to facilitate the achievement of the carbon reduction goal of the European Union.
